Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to each believer in the Body of Christ in order to do the following:Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus through us (John 15:26)Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and tell us about things to come (John 16:13)Holy Spirit will glorify Jesus (John 16:14)Holy Spirit will empower each one of us to minister to others: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues (languages); they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’” (Mark 16:15-18) …And these signs will follow those who believe!
